About Us

On the ground since 2010

Founded in the wake of the 2010 earthquake that devastated Haiti, RIFOH (Redeemers International Foundation of Hope) is a community-driven initiative dedicated to transforming the lives of underserved children in the rural region of Saint Louis du Nord in Haiti and beyond. Our founder, Frédéric Jean Kedson—affectionately known as B-Kedson—returned to his hometown after the disaster, only to witness the alarming challenges facing the local youth. Concerned about the rising issues of alcohol use and a lack of educational opportunities, he recognized the urgent need for change.


Starting with just 13 children, RIFOH has grown exponentially, now supporting over 1,000 young people who are unable to attend school. Our mission is to foster a nurturing environment that encourages education, positive behavior, and community engagement. Through various programs, we aim to reshape the mindset of the youth, empowering them to build a brighter future.

Why Saint-Louis du Nord?

RIFOH has been committed to transforming lives in the overlooked community of Saint-Louis du Nord, located in the North-West region of Haiti.
Why Saint-Louis du Nord ? This area is often ignored and under-resourced, despite being home to resilient families struggling against the systemic cycles of poverty that plague much of the country. Haiti, as many know, faces widespread corruption and economic hardship, forcing many to start from nothing, without the support they need to build a better future.

RIFOH’s deep-rooted connection to Saint-Louis du Nord, where much of the staff shares a personal history and understanding of the region, empowers the foundation to effectively combat the poverty that grips the community.
